Kris’s paintings can endorse a sensuous allure of immediacy and intimacy.

They embody an enchanting timelessness and hint elusively towards a premonition. The visual language is subtle and complex, simultaneously engaging on many levels of interpretation. They resonate parallels often likened to the Sufi poetry, and Zen that so inspires Kristen's work.

Likewise there is a restrained and indirect visual metaphoric language frequently in use. Traditional visual elements are embedded in the physical world,; nevertheless the images countenance is an unfolding of deeper experiences and concepts often enhanced by the unusual perspective and abstruse scale within the work.
